Tabula Plena

Tabula Plena is a one of a kind project born from the collaboration between Giulio Tosti, organist and pianist, and Marco Silvi, pianist and tuner. The duo introduces an original four-hand formation dedicated to the prepared piano, venturing into uncharted sonic territories and surpassing the boundaries of traditional piano sounds.
Initially inspired by the work of John Cage, the two musicians embark on an improvisational and timbral journey, transforming the piano into a “Tabula Plena” filled with objects from diverse origins. Opposing this material richness is an ideal “Tabula Rasa” where musical intuition guides each step of the sonic narrative. The result is a spontaneous experience that unveils the infinite creative possibilities inherent in sound.
