Nexus is a portal, a connection between very distant sound universes in search of a dialogue, a fusion, a flow. FluDuo – a group composed of Alice Muzzioli on classical vocals and Marco Silvi on modern piano – have been experimenting and researching together for years, combining the punctuality of the score with the flexibility of improvisation, the purity of classical vocality with the material sounds of the prepared piano . “Nexus” is FluDuo’s first recording project, the result of this union between ancient and modern; a portal between distant microcosms but connected by the same search for sonic metamorphoses.
